I haven't used a trackball mouse before, and this is rather fun. I grew up using computers many hours a day and have never suffered any RSI symptoms as a result of extended use due to having sort of adapted to computers, and bought this more as a venture into alternative input methods.

Kensington Trackball

This was my first experience of an optical trackball and I would recommend this to anyone. The amount of software included with the device allows adjustment to your exact needs.

Really smooth trackball

I have used track-balls almost from the start of mousing. I hate real mice. There was one mechanical ball, early on, that worked really well, and is still produced, but the price is ridiculous.

Very smooth ball operation, no doubt due to its optical coupling; (No axles or wheels to deal with.

Lack of a middle button that would work with Linux to paste

Kensington Orbit Trackball with Scroll Ring

Trackballs remain a niche product, partly due to the different set of mousing skills they supply, partly due to the price premium that most trackballs command and partly due to the lack of feature parity with even the cheapest mice.

Integrated scroll wheel works really well; Includes wrist rest; Ball can be juggled around for inspiration

Wrist rest may over-extend fingers; Scroll wheel feels a little loose; Still tethered by a cable

Good product, Wasn't right for me though.

This product is not for everyone! It will take some time to get used to! If you're at a desk, you might find it suits your needs better. Unless your arm is supported during use, you might not like it.

Very well built and sturdy! 5 year warranty

This product is not for everyone; I have a logitech trackball with the ball on the side and I find that works better for me as I stand while i use it and my arm is not flat on the surface.

Sturdy - great w kids

this is a great product. really solid and more like a rubber tire thickness then a flimsy rubber. only thing that suprised me was that it is not solid across the back - it fits around the edges only - but it sits high enough off the ipad and is wide enough it really protects.

Annoying

Three major problems with this mouse: 1) No scroll wheel, which I can't believe I didn't notice in the specs before buying. Who makes a mouse without a scroll wheel?? You can program one of the two buttons to enable scrolling with the ball, w...
