JBL has delivered a durable waterproof speaker capable of big sound with the Xtreme 2 . Between the sound quality, battery life, and extra features you can't really go wrong with it. However, it's also a bit on the pricey side starting at $300 and most likely out of many people's price range.

Not sure I've had this X2 long enough for a fair review, but here goes. First, Crutch shipped quick and it arrived fast. First thing I noticed was the box looked small. I opened it up and much to my dismay, I had purchased the wrong speaker.

For a bluetooth speaker the clarity is unmatched the bass, treble and vocals standout individually. Zero muffled sounds even on old songs the crisp sounds are something I didn't expect. The bass hugs everyone in the room. Ive had many speakers and this is by far the best sounding and loudest.

One look at the JBL Xtreme 2 and you'll know it's not designed as a fancy-looking speaker to sit pride of place on your polished wooden furniture. Nope, this tubular (perhaps construed as if we're in the 1980s, dudes) speaker's design is clearly targeted at the big outdoors.
