A great CPU but from an era before AMD Ryzen which is shaking up the market with more cores and threads. For gaming 4 cores is good enough come a few more years and 6 cores will be standard place. The Hyper Threading of this I7 will certainly help with future proofing over the I5 CPUs.

- Fairly low power; - Great gaming CPU; - Lowest power use to speed

- 4 cores is getting a little old

Great processor, terrible fan

I'm disappointed that I spent the money on a CPU/Cooler combination. The extra money could have been spent on increased processing power.

The processor works as intended

The fan sounds like a small lawn mower; Absolutely terrible

Super easy to install. Directions BLOW but utube came to the rescue. You would think Intel would provide better directions. Anyway... son is happy with the performance he is getting out of his pc. When he isn't bugging me about his gaming experiences my life becomes is good.

Excellent Product

Great product using with a Kraken X62 and Asus Maximus MB, temps rarely get higher than 60c in intense gaming sessions, only disappointment was I didn't get the original box and sticker lol.

I purchased this to upgrade my pc which had an i5 processor and WOW, this made a huge difference. With it's 4 cores and 8 threads mixed with a GTX1060 I can now play every top game I throw at it with out issues. Well worth the upgrade!

Crazy good value for money

If you don't want to over clock, if you want reliability and low(ish) power draw for output look no further. Runs super cool even with a dog all in one liquid cooler and benchs real well

Strong budget CPU

A great CPU if you're looking to go Intel and can't afford the i5 or i7. When paired with a decent GPU, this CPU will allow you to run most modern games without dropping below 60 frames per second. Be sure to pair it with a high end chipset so you have the option to upgrade in the future.

Strong single thread performance (gaming -Low temps on idle and load -Hyper-threaded -Stock cooler included -Leaves a strong upgrade path for the future if paired with decent motherboard

-Weak multi-thread performance -Weak physics performance -Multiplier locked (Base clock can be pushed to 103Mhz for a very slight overlock

Great processor as per its performance wise

I build my computer using this processed. Its a a best grade processor as per by my whole experiences over the gaming and programming needs. As it got 8MB of catch memory and is truly liable for heavy usage. Always have bought intel i7's and have never been upset about my purchase.

Best price on the internet

I was watching the price for this CPU for several months and B&H was always the best price. I finally pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Great processor Great price

Bought this for a new NVR I'm building for a surveillance system. Great price particularly if you pair it with a motherboard. Runs nice and cool at about 70 watts with all my cameras running through it.
