Cloud Stinger by Kingston really does deliver what it promises, lightweight design with few cool features that do not break the bank. When looking at just the sound performance/reproduction of Cloud Stinger it is spot on as well. It is hard to find a good pair of headsets on the budget.

HyperX Cloud II

The hyper X cloud headset really has been a surprising shock to many gamer's. The company's HyperX Cloud II really improves upon its design and features. The result from this headset is a comfortable class of its own, even despite lacking customization and software.

Kingston is a leader in the memory and storage market, but the company has recently expanded its product portfolio to more completely cover the gamer's needs.

Great quality gaming headphones

First and foremost, the build quality is exceptional. Feels very sturdy and comfortable. I like that it includes interchangeable earphones. The sound is amazing for the price. The 7.1 feature is a nice touch. It's wired and I actually prefer this for gaming as it decreases input lag and static.

Kingston HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset

The Kingston HyperX Cloud II gaming headset are well built and should provide for years of enjoyment. The sound quality is very good for music and movies, and the virtual surround does a good job to simulate that you are in the game.

Attractive styling (even in hot pink and white; High end sound for gaming and multimedia enjoyment; Solid construction; Includes plenty of useful accessories; Two sets of ear pads; one in leatherette and one in cloth; 8 year old daughter finally enthused about something I reviewed

Can't get 7.1 channel surround or use microphone unless using USB adapter; I wish the microphone jack cover was attached to the headphones; so I won't lose it; Would like an adapter to use a sound card's dedicated outputs for surround sound and microphone

One Minute Review: Kingston HyperX Cloud II

T wo huge 53mm drivers in the HyperX Cloud II provide excellent sound quality and not just for the price range. The full range of sound is excellent, all the way from the punchy bass through to the clear treble.

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset for PC & PS4 - Red (KHX-HSCP-RD)

Important note: This review has had significant alterations made since I first posted it. Upon listening to them again post review and comparing them to the HD 600s (which I will use as my reference), I felt that parts of my review overstated traits/aspects of this headset and some impressions were...

Comfort; value for money; sound quality; build quality; customer service

Can highlight sibilance in particular tracks; I personally found the sound quality suffered when using the velour pads

Review: The HyperX Cloud II makes the best sub-$100 headset a little better

Last year I called the HyperX Cloud "one of the best sub-$100 gaming headsets I've ever used." Apparently not content with that, Kingston went ahead and released the HyperX Cloud II this year--a little pricier, a little more refined. "Little" being the operative word here.

Kingston's HyperX Cloud II is one of the best gaming headsets you can get. With strong audio specs, a solid design and excellent support options, this PC gaming headset is hard to beat. It's missing a few things, but there's no denying that the HyperX is the king of its price point.

The excellent headphones reproduce high-fidelity sound

The headphones don't fold down into a smaller size
