Huawei P30: The Huawei P30 is less exotic than the Pro but still packs in plenty of technology
Three cracking cameras; Sumptuous looks; 3.5mm headphone jack
Lacks 5x optical zoom of P30 Pro; Only IP53 dust- and water-resistant
Huawei P30: The Huawei P30 is less exotic than the Pro but still packs in plenty of technology

The Huawei P30 is a well designed, pocketable phone with a great camera solution. Thing is, it sits in the shadow of the P30 Pro, while last year's P20 Pro model is so similar in many regards that it might be the better purchase option on account of its now lower price point.
Slimmer profile than Pro model; Capable triple camera setup; Includes 3.5mm jack; Gorgeous design and colour options
Lacks the quad camera solution of the Pro model; Battery is fine but could be better; No wireless charging; Camera unit sticks out
A few years ago, £700 would have netted you the top-dog in any phone makers' lineup but since Apple made £1000 the new norm for a flagship, things have changed. Which is the reason that, despite carrying a price tag of £699, the standard P30 plays second fiddle to the £899 P30 Pro in Huawei's...
Great design; Solid battery life; Above average camera
Full of bloatware
Our Huawei P30 review is here to tell you exactly how well (or otherwise) Huawei's 2019 flagship phone hits its targets – it's smaller than the Huawei P30 Pro , and doesn't have as good a camera, but it's a solid step up from the Huawei P20 . Is it something you should be spending your money on
Excellent triple-lens camera; Long-lasting battery life; Stylish design and colour choices
Software remains so-so; No 5x zoom as on the P30 Pro; Google partnership in doubt
This is not dual sim. Having to send it back to Amazon.
I've had my p30 a week now. This phone is great. Looks awsome in this colour, is super fast, cameras are the best, & battery life so far is brilliant.
You miss out on a few things like wireless charging but, for the asking price, we'd still rate the Huawei P30 as an incredibly competitive package.
Great camera; Headphone jack
Sub-par performance; No wireless charging
The smaller sibling of the P30 Pro, the P30 carries all of the great features - and all of the drawbacks. While it's not top-of-the-line, those looking for a long lasting battery and an impressive camera should definitely consider this phone.
Long lasting battery; impressive camera; low price; and a night mode that still puts Google to shame.
Bad bloatware; as with all Huawei devices; makes this phone more difficult to use than it should be.
More than just an understudy, the P30 is a great phone in its own right.
Excellent camera; Great design; Powerful internals
Mono speaker; No water resistance; A couple of camera inconsistencies
It fits great in the hand, costs less than a Pixel 3 and Samsung Galaxy S10, delivers a flagship experience and glistens like a unicorn should you opt for the breathing crystal version. If you can deal with the lack of wireless charging, curved display and the fact it packs only three cameras, there’s every reason to consider the P30 as your next smartphone.
Excellent camera; Great design; Powerful internals;
Mono speaker; No water resistance; A couple of camera inconsistencies;
