Works very nicely with MacBook Pro with USB-C connectivity. Not 4K, but nearly equivalent at reasonable price point.

Included in the package for the HP Z38c are the monitor, AC cord, CD-ROM, and four cables: USB-C to USB-A 3.1; USB-C to USB-C; Full size HDMI to HDMI; Full size DisplayPort to DisplayPort.

HP Z38c 38" Ultra-wide Curved Monitor : Expansive & Accurate

Following reader comments over the last two years shows us that curved ultra-wide monitors are now a fully-accepted genre in the world of computer displays. Even we wondered why at first, but as with many advances in technology, gamers have shown us the way.

Large screen with ideal 2300R curve; Clear and detailed image; Accurate color; No-nonsense styling and premium build quality; USB-C; 10-bit color

Below-average contrast; No gamma options; Lack of FreeSync & input lag means gamers may want to steer clear

HP Z38c Curved Display review: The ultimate ultrawide experience for creators

Having a wide curved display increases production. Ever since I've placed the HP Z38c Curved Display on my desk, I've been able to edit videos faster, write more quickly, and become more productive.

Massive display for increased productivity; 100% sRGB color gamut; Plenty of adjustability options; Easy-to-use menu

No built-in speakers; Expensive

I really liked the monitor but after only 15 months it just died from one moment to the next. FWIW I have everything on a quality UPS so it wasn't a power surge.

If you are looking for a monitor that is both impressive to look at and to use, the HP Z38c is for you. The large 21:9 aspect ratio is perfect for video editing and its 37.5 inch wide curved screen is big without being too big. With a great price, the Z38c is sure to impress.

HP Z38c ultrawide curved monitor review

Most people don’t want to spend $1,000 on a monitor. It’s not an easy thing to justify when you’ve already spent at least that much on your gaming rig or laptop. Yet the size and quality of your monitor can have a larger effect on your workday or gaming sessions than you might assume. If you’ve got the budget for it, why not go all in? If you’re thinking about picking up the $1,200 HP Z38c, you’re going all in. Ultrawide, curved displays just keep getting sharper – and wider. LG impressed everyone when it introduced its 38-inch wonder to the world in late 2016, but Dell did it better for $400 cheaper with its UltraSharp 38 Curved Monitor this year. HP is getting in the game with its own version, a massive, 38-inch curved display that competes spec-for-spec with the competition. While there are wider monitors out there, the Z38c is an impressive sight to behold with its 3,840 x 1,600 resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. Ultrawide, curved displays have been around for a couple of years now,...
