This is a great monitor for color accurate video work - as long as you are using the DisplayPort. Detail and color looks great. I tested the HDMI and it looked horrible - details were strangle over-sharpened, missing contrast etc. etc.

The monitor is great and the fulfillment was rapid fast (seemed like they had it a my neighbors and just brought it over soon after the order).

Great monitor but not optimised for Mac so all text looks terrible on it - including every website. Hp have not made any drivers for it and have said its optimised for Windows. However it renders video beautifully, you can tilt adjust height and rotate and it's good for grading

The HP DreamColor Z27x is a top-end monitor, intended primarily for designers and other creative types who need serious colour accuracy. At this point it may seem a stop-gap before OLED monitors are within reach of those without a company credit card and an "anything goes" expenses policy.
