HP Elite x3 hands-on review

It all sounds like the Elite x3 is shaping up to be a real beast. It makes the best of a bad situation, focusing on Windows Phone's business strengths rather than going after Apple, Samsung, and LG in the home market. Unfortunately, that also extends to how HP's going to be selling the thing. You won't be able to walk into a phone shop and get one on contract; instead, HP will be selling it directly to companies through its business networks. That means it could be pretty difficult to get hold of one, but you certainly won't be disappointed if your IT guy decided to place an order. It should arrive later this summer, with more than 30 countries in line at launch, but there's no official price just yet.

HP Elite X3: The most interesting phone you don't need (hands-on)

What if there was one device to replace them all? What if you no longer needed a laptop or a desktop to get work done? That's what HP is trying to provide with the new Elite X3 phone.

The HP Elite X3 is a high-end Windows phone built with serious business in mind.

HP Elite x3 review: Yep, this was the last great Windows phone

Workspace virtualized apps are something special; Desk Dock provides an excellent Continuum experience; Two (not one!) ways to log in via Windows Hello;

Extremely high price out of reach for most consumers; Workspace interface could use some ease-of-use refinement; Mediocre camera;
