Gran Turismo 7 review: Squeaky clean racing machine

Gran Turismo returns to its roots in the most accessible game in the series in years. It also makes great use of the PlayStation 5 with almost instant loading and superb use of the DualSense controller. There's something a little strange about some of its in-game systems and modes, with single-player missions handed to you in the form of cafe menus (no, really) but on-the-track handling is so excellent you'll never really care.

Stunningly realistic graphics; Car handling is superb; Brilliant use of haptic feedback on DualSense controller; Hundreds of cars to collect;

Races can feel samey in single-player campaign; Ray tracing mode only improves non-racing elements; Cafe menu system is weird;

Gran Turismo 7 review

Gran Turismo 7 isn’t just the best entry in the long-running series, it sets the bar astronomically high for all future racing sims. GT7’s stunning graphics are paired with a wonderfully slick presentation. That, in conjunction with best-in-class racing sim gameplay that’s easier than ever to pick up - and tough as ever to master - make for a constantly satisfying racer.

Stunning graphics; Lightning-fast load times; Breathtaking haptic feedback; Bags of content;

Default HDR settings a bit washed out; Licence tests might be too strict for some; Music Rally is underwhelming

Maintenance issue kill the game.

Game is good, but constant server maintenance issues make the game unplayable with no offline settings. Until that is fix, the game is not worth buying.

Very good Sim Ruined by Microtransactions

The driving and graphics are stunning. Unfortunately due to recent updates nerfing the amount of credits you can earn from low to abysmal some cars are unobtainable or worth 40 hours of grinding at the current rate or 200+ dollars if you bought credits. Also the game is online only if you do not have online arcade racing is all you can do. Unacceptable for such an expensive game.

Great game, and Mighty Ape rocks

Yeah the game is great, it's a given – it's Gran Fricken Turismo! However, also great is Mighty Ape! Speedy delivery to ensure it is in my monkey paws by launch day, cheapest price anywhere and great customer service as always – cheers for the free My Food Bag coupon and pack of gum!

Gt7 almost ruined 25 years of racing sim awesomeness

Gran Turismo have come up with a fix to the below errors, it is nice to know when they make such an error they are able to see it and correct it, well done What a mess, I mean the game is actually great, but it was ruined with the required massive payments to get credits to play, I been playing GT since the beginning and feeling really let down by gt7.

Us gamers have been played.

Disgusting business practice from the developer. Giving game critics a different version of the game we consumers got so it could get those 10/10 reviews. Then they update and give us consumers Greed Turismo 7: We Love Whales edition. You do not do this to your loyal fanbase.
