My daughter showed me her Chromecast a year and and it was interesting. Bought one to try and love it. The ability to transfer images, videos, etc from your phone/tablet/computer is an amazing thing and especially makes watching you tube videos enjoyable.
Never received it. Very unhappy.
The new Chromecast is much like the old Chromecast, but that's no bad thing The Chromecast is a great product that's clever on the engineering side but simple to use. Some might not like the lack of a physical remote, but that's part and parcel of the Chromecast experience – and there are lots of...
Affordable; Casting is neat; Good video and sound
Little new of note; No dedicated remote; No Amazon Video
In truth, there's very little to get excited about with the new Chromecast – the addition of 1080p 60fps streaming is hardly worth shouting about – but that doesn't stop it from being one of the cheapest and best ways to add smart functionality to a TV or monitor.
Cheap; Works with lots of apps; Google Home integration
No UI or physical remote; No 4K support
This version of chromecast will work with hd content. The higher spec device is for 4k. It is a very useful device easily moved from one TV to another or fitted onto a projector without any difficulty. It is small and more convenient than carrying around an xbox in your pocket.
I bought this a few weeks ago and am really happy with the purchase. It was simple to set up and easy to use.
The Chromecast is amazing. I love being able to binge watch my favourite shows on Netflix Can also watch things on Facebook and YouTube. It feels so cosy with my new Chromecast and I dont have to upgrade to a new TV that I didn't really want to buy or could afford.
I use my Laptop, install Netflix, go onto Wi Fi, open Chrome Browser, search and download Google Cast Icon to the Taskbar. Put Chromecast into a HDMI port of the TV. Open Netflix on the Laptop, click the Cast Icon in Chrome and Netflix goes onto the TV, thanks to Chromecast.
Excellent online service. Value for money. Recommended
