Google Chromecast (2015) review

The new Chromecast is simple, smart, works brilliantly and is cheap. What more could you ask for from a gadget?

It's fast and has superior Wi-Fi; Simplicity; great app; Cheap as chips; Tons of apps work with it; Looks nice

Still waiting on some functionality; Some apps and games are yet to catch up

See anything on TV wirelessly!

Its a great buy. Only cons: 1. Doesn't work without internet 2. Casting Laptop screen is laborious and sometimes doesn't even work meaning video is casted but Audio plays from Laptop. These are acceptable as they say the casting is experimental anyway. 3.

Google Chromecast Streaming Media Player

For $35 and a little practice, this is the best streaming solution available to date.

Streams full-screen videos from Netflix and YouTube; Mirrors Websites; Control videos from computer or mobile device

Must go to Chromecast Website to learn when new apps become compatible; No central control panel or app; Clumsy to pause video streaming from a phone when a call comes in
