As a compact document scanner for small to midsize offices or workgroups, the Fujitsu fi-7160 ($1,195) provides very good scan speeds. It has a solid set of features for improving scan reliability and quality.

Erratic optical-character-recognition performance

I purchased this to replace an older model that gave us years of service. It is mostly used to scan in medical charts. I did have to contact customer service to help me tweak the settings as they had changed the interface and it was not obvious where to go to change certain settings.

I would give this scanner five stars, if were not for the following: Others have commented that this is a "grey market" product and here is why that is important. First of all, I love the hardware. I did not love the Paper Stream software that came with it. I found it complicated and confusing.

Exceeded my expectation.

I am a tech who works primarily with medical offices and these Fujitsu scanners are great. The offices that I work with tend to do a high volume of scans, so they need fast, reliable scanners and this model has been another win for this product line.

LOVE this scanner. I deal with a lot of receipts (gas, store, parking), it takes ones as small as 1.5"x2" ! Can put all sizes together as a bunch to scan. If you have any issues with it taking more than one at a time, line them up as the smallest on the bottom to the largest being on top and kind of...

Purchased this for our Insurance Office we have several 6130 models --this one is totally amazing. For an office that scans a lot this scanner is amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
