Great camera for usability and quality of images. Downsides are the slow focus and video performance, but this is really a photographers camera. I really like the quick exposure compensation dial and viewfinder. More lens selection would be nice.

I've been using this camera for few days and till yet I haven't found any issues as such. It's worth buying camera, but of course with high price entangled to it.
With the X-E1, Fuji has brought the next evolution of the X series of interchangeable lens cameras. As the system is set to grow in the coming year, we can see this camera appealing to a large group of people.
I wanted to move from dSLR to something smaller, but wasn't ready to sacrifice the functionality and image quality.I'm so impressed with dynamic range, sharpness and image quality... I can't get the smile off of my face, for weeks :) This is one beautiful and joyful camera.
Takes pictures the way you see it. That's all you can hope for in a camera
These days the Pentax-style retro film cameras seem to be a rage. The Fujifilm's retro-style mirrorless camera fills in the gap with X-E1. But does it take old school cameras forward, or is it just eye-candy? Let's find out.
APS-C sized sensor; Well built; Supports 1080p video recording @24fps; Delightful 35mm f/1.4 lens
Steep learning curve; Too many controls on different dials; Processing algorithms don't work well; Expensive
I immediately appreciated the Fujifilm X-E1 , since in practice the "cousin" with interchangeable lenses. But it is undeniable that this new system is a really good party: good and excellent optical sensors.
Vintage aesthetic; Ergonomics; Flash easily integrated directional upward; Image quality
Lack of the last manual focus mode and focus peaking split-image; Shutter speed Auto ISO is not configurable; Noise tendon focal plane shutter; Battery indicator residual misleading
The X-E1 is one hell of a camera, leaving a few quirks aside. It is a mirrorless that can actually function as a substitute to the bulky DSLR for many users. If you're in the market for a DSLR, or want a camera system that will give you great images, then you might want to look at getting the X-E1.
Compact body compared to a DSLR; Excellent image quality even at high ISO; Well-placed dials that make accessing settings really quick
AF is a hit or miss at times; Lack of any sort of controls in video recording mode
I bought an X100 a couple of years ago and my wife simply adores that camera. Her only complaint: no zoom. And by only, I mean Only. In all other ways the X100 is amazing.
Automatic mode is incredible; Picture quality is stunning; Picture depth is amazing; Built in panoramic function; Build quality is superb
No minimum shutter speed setting for auto; "Format Card" buried too deep in the menus
I bought this camera looking for a lighter alternative to my Canon DSLR for hiking, backpacking and general travel photography. We did a week+ trip to the Rocky Mountains, and I put it through all the paces camping and backpacking. I've also used it for some portraiture work and flower photography.
Fast Shutter Speed; Good Battery Life; Good Firmware Upgrades; Great Lenses From Fuji; Great Resolution; Large Clear LCD; Small / Compact
Focusing Can Be Slow
