Am in the middle of getting rid of years (and I mean years) of accumulated old household paperwork, including copies cancelled checks, receipts etc. that I had stored away. I have shredded 8 full lawn garbage size bags of old papers of varying sizes using this shredder so far without problems and...

Works well, but there is a design flaw. The paper bag collector bin is very small, and it always leaves a trail of shredded paper on the bottom of the shredder. The plastic bag won't cover the entire bin, without the "bag door open" error. I believe that the collection bin could be greatly improved.

After burning out several cheap shredders I finally decided to buy a heavy duty model. After reading the reviews I bought this Fellowes 79Ci and I am very satisfied with it. I can put so many more pages into it and it does not bog down, it keeps chomping away.

My husband and I have quite a bit of paperwork that we need to shred on a regular basis. I did not want the kind that sits on a garbage can and can only handle a couple pages. This is sturdy and the wheels make it easy to move to wherever you need to be.

I have never been so impressed by such a simple appliance.

This shredder is amazing for use on a consumer scale; I don't know that I would pay $467.99 for it; I purchased it for $196.00 while it was on sale and have no regrets; This thing shreds and shreds and never complains; I have put at least 1000 sheets of paper through this in a matter of 2-3 days.

Way too expensive when not on sale for a paper shredder

This paper shredder was a pleasant surprise from my upgrade from an older Fellows trash can model. The size was ideal to fit under my desk with the wheel casters. The warning lights were ideal to help maintain optimal performance.

I purchased this shredder after reading all the other reviews, and I love it! I use it in my home office and it rocks!! Cds, credit cards, and 12pgs no problem. The thickness meter is really cool and the safety sensors work perfectly.

Better than expected, this is a machine built to last, the cutting head of the unit is very heavy & makes me feel confident of its longevity, very quiet, good safety feature built in to prevent fingers in the paper slot, couldn't be happier.

I'm very pleased with my Fellowes 79Ci. This shredder will go through 14 sheets of paper like a hot knife through butter... with or without staples. The credit card and CD slot works perfectly ... keeping both centered and aligned perfectly ... while being fed through without a hitch.
