Eufy Video 2k Doorbell Battery + Homebase 2 E8210CW1 review

The Eufy Video Doorbell blew our old Ring away in terms of both image resolution and overall battery life. We love the fact that it doesn’t need a monthly subscription to access video clips – but, as a tradeoff -–t does require a hub which makes it slightly more expensive upfront and has a small...

No monthly subscription needed; Battery operated option; 4:3 ratio at 2K resolution

Delay in voice chat and video; Some downtime to recharge; WDR isn’t as good as HDR

Best on the market

This is definately the best smart doorbell on the market. The local storage makes for very fast playback and live mode switching. The doorbell AI is able to pinpoint a human and crop the image for display on your notification screen and watch, along with the notification message. The doorbell is also chargeable and able to be wired for power if you have a 9-25v cable running to the chime input on the back. Easy integration with Alexa and google home also. Alexa can act as a chime.

Best Doorbell

Honestly this is the best doorbell on the market. The only thing that this doorbell needs is HomeKit integration, apparently it is coming with a software update in August. All footage stored locally and if you want more storage just plug in a hard drive into the base station. You don’t need to buy extra storage with a cloud subscription! It’s amazing! not many others offer cloud free storage. And AI motion detection so no false notifications. Eufy also have other great products that all link together for a great home security solution. I can’t recommend this product enough. Only down side is you need to recharge the doorbell every 6-5 months or hardwire it in to a 24v AC transformer and use the battery as a backup.

Security without fuss

I purchased this wireless version as I did not want to have to get an electrician to install the hard wired version. Easy to set up, clear video and the added benefit of not having to pay for storage. Only downside being wireless it has a lag of several seconds which can be annoying.
