Use to make electronic copies and restore old family photos as well as other hard copy items, such as warranties to keep records organized electronically and available for printing. Like the Adobe Shop software that came with it.
Accurate Color; Easy document restoration; Easy Setup; Easy to use; Excellent Software; Good Resolution
Cumbersome file naming
Took some time to master the controls (my incompetence not Epson) but once up and running I would have to describe it as a good buy. Reason for 4 stars only is the poor quality of the film carriers. Perhaps there is a reason they are so flexible and seemingly delicate. If so the reason escapes me.
I though it was just me, but after a generous friend who specialises in Mac IT had wrestled with it for two hours, it became abundantly clear that the 2014 software supplied with the Epson Perfection 600 is sufficiently bug-riddled to fail in all of its advanced functions; I was able to kick-start...
This is a decent general purpose scanner. It performs well with non-transparent materials. Be aware that it will scan 35mm and 120 (medium format) film, but not to the same quality as a dedicated film scanner; if are primarily interested in scanning film however, look for a dedicated film scanner...
You can usually count on Epson scanners to deliver better than average bang for the buck. The Epson Perfection V600 Photo ($249.99 direct, covered by a standard 1-year parts and labor warranty) is no exception.
High-quality scans; Fully automatic mode for easy scanning; Scans both 35mm and medium-format film
Scans only four 35mm slides at a time; Weak on office tasks
I've told you almost everything in the heading. I bought a new computer and couldn't use my old Epson scanner. This one is much faster, and I've had no errors or problems with it after about 2 months. The software is excellent.
I haven't had it hooked up long enough to give 5 Stars across the board. I didn't have any trouble setting it up but disappointed that I can only scan 4 slides at a time however, if the scans are good it will be worth it. So far, good.
The Epson software installed on my Mac faultlessly and integrated with my current Epson printer/scanner/copier. I have been enjoying scanning my archive of colour slides and colour negative film. The document scanner will usefully save in PDF or jpeg formats.
Easy To Set Up
None To Speak Of
High resolution scanning for negatives black and white, and color. Works great Negative holders even fit the older negatives. Very happy with it. I am scanning at the highest resolution and the quality is excellent speed it not an issue.
Easy to Use; Easy to Set Up; Good Value; Quality
