Product Brief: Edimax EW-7811Un, world's smallest 802.11n wireless adaptor

Edimax claims its latest 802.11n wireless adapter is the smallest in the world, and we find no reason to disagree. Once you've plugged it into a spare USB socket, the body of the EW-7811Un sticks out less than a centimetre.

Great bang for the buck.

I had serious concerns about compatibility and connection speed & stability with this device, but I decided to give it a try. I was happy to see that the EW-7811 was recognized, installed, and ready in seconds on my

Brilliant

This works perfectly with Windows 7 too!! I bought a new computer, on purchase I didn't realise the computer wasn't wireless, so this little gem lets my computer connect wirelessly to the internet! very simple to set up!

Product as described and works well in general. However, I could not smoothly stream mjpeg video from my raspberry pi 2 with this. Ended up buying a different dongle for that. But aside from streaming and other high bandwidth tasks, this dongle works out of the box and works well.

NeetoVonZeeto!!!

My screen broke on my laptop, so I removed it, to use the laptop as a desktop, and unknowingly removed the wifi antenna, as well, so I couldn't get internet. This little booger saved the day! It works great, and I don't even know it's there!

Works but for less than 3 months before falling to bits

Great - literally plug and play. However, after less than 3 months, the black plastic end came off and the thing is now completely useless.

Work great for HTPC's

Found these work great for HTPC's using Linux-based Openelec or Libreelec operating systems with Kodi. Hard to find a wireless solution that works with Linux but these are plug in and go with no driver installation.

Very reliable adaptor

Excellent product. I have used it along with Raspberry Pi and it connects immediately without any driver requirement. The connection is so reliable that it never disconnected during my heavy usage of almost 6 months now.

Great product

I like the product, as the speeds I get is similar to mobile. Local Data transfer rate over wi-fi is over 20MBPS. I use this device across 3 rooms, 40feet from router.
