Bottom line: good monitor for graphic designers, but not suitable for anything else, like office work, programming, fast-moving video/game,...

Controls and hookup noticeably worse than previous Dell 30

I bought this to replace an aging Dell U3011, and its been a real disappointment. I could not detect any difference in image quality, I guess I have gotten spoiled with the display. Dell no longer includes DVI cable connections, which is a much bigger problem than I first realized.

Excellent Monitor

Have been using a Dell 3008 monitor for the last 8 years. Was a great monitor but unfortunately it had started to develop a few faults. I was undecided whether to purchase these or the Dell 34" ultra-wide screens, but in the end decided to stick with what I knew.

Dell UP3017 30-inch 16:10 Professional Monitor

When it comes to purchasing a professional display, there is only one major consideration: color accuracy. Certainly other image parameters like contrast, viewing angles, and video processing are important too, but if color, white balance, and gamma aren't on-point, well then, there is no point.

Near-perfect out-of-box accuracy; Contrast; Bright & uniform panel; Build quality; Bundled software; Overall value

Limited OSD calibration; Uniformity compensation reduces contrast and output
