The U3415W is the best 21:9 monitor we've seen yet, but it's not perfect.
Robust build quality; Ergonomic VESA stand; High contrast ratio; Good overall image quality
Modest color accuracy for the price; Some backlight bleed; Expensive

Curved-screen monitors haven't quite taken the market by storm, but they are beginning to trickle in. With the UltraSharp U3415W ($1,199.99), Dell joins LG and Samsung in releasing a gargantuan, 34-inch, ultra-wide, curved display designed to bring enhanced panoramic viewing to the desktop.
Accurate colors; Sharp gray-scale; Powerful audio; Lots of features
Expensive; No side-mounted USB ports
With the UltraSharp U3415W, Dell has created a solid monitor with a large Diagonal Curved panel and an attractive price point. Something that we've not seen out of other manufacturers.
Attractive housing; Good image quality; Curved display; Multiple connectivity options; Low DeltaE
Warm colors
Dell LCD monitors might not be the best or high end choice, but absolutely the option of worthy buying. Much cheaper than the similar model from Samsung, also have advantages in price versus LG.
Got it during the B Friday at $649; Really value for money; I've be with Dell for years and have 3 LCDs in my home, an old 21", an old 30" and now comes the curving 34"; In general, the color and sharpness of words are excellent; I/O enough to user, built-in spker sounds good; Worth to buy
Not obvious cons so far at present
Have this monitor set up with my Late 2016 MacbookPro for editing projects. I'm getting 3860 x1440 at 60Hz with a Display to USB-C cable from a company that has a great search engine. The monitor looks great, the image was superb out of the box, and I love that 3 year warranty just in case.
Exceeded my expectations. After watching a youtube review comparing this model to the 2017 model, I decided on this one because the only major differences were cosmetic. This monitor pairs well with my 2015 Macbook Pro Retina as a secondary display (see photo) and completely brings out the greatest...
Hands down, the most awesome monitor I have ever used, owned, demo'd, or even seen in person. Three full web pages side by side can't be a bad thing, right? That said, I'd recommend a graphics card higher than NVIDIA GTX960 if you're going to be using it for anything other than web browsing and/or...
A detailed look at Dell's new 34" curved ultra-wide display. Featuring an IPS panel and 3440 x 1440 resolution. How does it compare with flat 34" models we've seen and other recent Dell UltraSharp range models?
Good factory calibration and strong contrast ratio; Flicker free and light AG coating; Massive ultra-wide screen size and curve aspect ratio comfortable to use
Uniformity compensation mode works well; but inflexible in options; Response times not as fast as we had hoped and moderate lag also; IPS glow possibly an issue on a screen this size
Back in the mid-2000s, owning a 30-inch monitor was the (expensive) dream. Our collective thirst for larger panels hasn't dampened since then, and if you're not considering splashing out on a TV-sized 40-inch 4K monitor, you might be weighing up a cinematic ultra-wide offering like the Dell...
This is a tough review as I have mixed feelings about the screen. First of all well done to Scan, top service and delivery. My only real issue with the screen is the extent of light bleed. Its really quite bad and I had considered a return.
