Ive been shooting this for a week or so and Im totally sold on option, quality and overall performance of the DJI. Chocked full of customizable and adjustment. Love the quick access to phot, vid time lapse, ect...
With DJI launching its first action camera, some might have seen it as a little foolish to go after a market place that GoPro has championed - and one that's dwindling. But we don't think that's the story here.
Rugged and durable design; Compact design; Two screens make shooting yourself much easier; Stabilisation is fantastic
Still image quality needs improvement; No autofocus
It might not sell billions, but for the DJI user who wants to stay in the ecosystem, the Osmo Action might just be the extra camera that enhances their creativity and lets them add another angle to their footage without having to have a finger in both the GoPro and DJI pies.

Saw a lot of comparison to the GoPro 7 black but I decided on the Osmo Action in accordance to DJI's expertise on drones and the front facing screen. I really like the build quality and the quality of images that it produce.
Build quality and really good images and features; great for a blogger for sure
Not a GoPro killer
Despite a couple of quirks, the Osmo Action’s great video quality, rich design and RockSteady stabilisation - which seems to defy the laws of physics - make it a stellar action cam
Rocksteady stabilisation is excellent; Great for vlogging; Respectable battery life
Delayed on-screen preview; Terrible app reliability; Limited accessory rang
Considering this is DJI’s first action cam, it does a fantastic job of out GoProing the GoPro Hero7 Black in a couple of key areas. The RockSteady stabilisation is sensational, and the fact its metering optimises everything to make faces look great means it’s an ideal choice for vloggers. Its front screen is also welcome and is super handy for selfie videos. The Osmo Action does have more idiosyncrasies than the Hero7 Black, the delay between what’s being recorded and the live preview could be problematic in certain use-cases, and the terrible app connectivity is, well, terrible. That said, if you’re looking for a smart shooter that undercuts the competition, and captures footage you don’t have to faff with to get the best from, DJI’s Osmo Action is a fantastic bit of kit.

Excellent image stabilization; Premium; waterproof design; Great for vlogging
Major lag when EIS is active at max resolution; App connection failed across devices; Limited accessory options
Great little action cam not perfect but I'm sure DJI will update firmware to make it perfect.
