DJI Mavic Air review review

Incredibly portable; Very good video and stills quality; A cinch to fly;

Battery life still quite restrictive; Quite noisy when nearby;

[Review] DJI Mavic Air | 6 months later, is it still worth it

Ever since DJI released their brand new Mavic Air model, it seems as though Spark and Mavic Pro went to the never-never-land . Their sales have been steadily dropping over the course of the last couple of months, all whilst DJI Mavic Air has been making quite the havoc out there.

When DJI releases a new drone it's a big deal. And the Mavic Air is no different. But it's not that big. The foldable drone is actually surprisingly small but it can still shoot incredible video and capture incredible stills like its big brothers.

Sleek design; small and foldable; 3-axis gimbal; internal memory; excellent controller; QuickShots to capture amazing video

Expensive

DJI Mavic Air Review

DJI has cherry-picked all the best features and stuffed them into the Mavic Air.

Dedicated joystick controller; Gimbal stabilized 4K camera; Robust obstacle avoidance; Plentiful intelligent flight modes

Touchy camera controls; unless you're in Cinematic mode

DJI Mavic Air review

DJI's commitment to innovation comes through in the company's latest consumer drone: the Mavic Air is the near-perfect love child of the very successful Mavic Pro and the compact and user-friendly Spark .

Incredible portability, 4K video at up to 100Mbps; 12MP HDR stills, Near-perfect obstacle avoidance, 8GB internal storage

Slightly jerky gimbal controls; Could have better range; Need multiple batteries for a great flying experience

DJI Mavic Air Review: The Best Camera Drone

DJI's Mavic Pro made waves for its portability: It was the first drone to have arms that folded against its body, making it supercompact. Since it launched, many others have fielded knockoffs with a similar design, but it looks like only DJI can knock the Mavic Pro off its perch as our favorite...

Very easy to fly; Great photos and video; Innovative gesture controls; autonomous flight modes; Object avoidance

Hard to switch between camera modes in app

DJI Mavic Air Review

As you can see from this review, my experience with the Mavic Air has been very positive. Just a week with the Mavic Air was enough to decide that I no longer need the Phantom 3 Pro (which I will be selling in the near future) and convince me to move down to something that is far more portable,...

DJI Does It Again: Mavic Air Review

This is the smallest 4k drone we have ever flown. Buy it if you need a tiny but capable drone. Don't buy it if you're looking for a low light monster.

DJI Mavic Air

Sitting in between the beginner-friendly and the more premium , the Mavic Air is the Chinese company's mid-range, mini 4K drone. The Mavic Air is is smaller than the Mavic 2 range, but still manages to pack in 4K video recording at 30fps and a range of handy, automated flying modes called...

Incredibly compact and convenient to carry around; Easy to fly with intelligent flight modes; Great video quality; HDR and panoramic still images; Includes built-in storage

Need to opt for the Fly More Combo to get the most out of it; Switching between control methods can be fiddly
