This multi-function router is a bit harder to configure than those from Netgear or AT&T, but we suspect it has solved the problems we encountered with those models. (Search Google with 'Router-by-Router Experience' for details.

I've had this router since June and have been trying to get its faults fixed by D-Link tech support for four months now. Basically the internet is totally unreliable. Sort-of-OK some of the time, glitching, slow and disconnecting the rest of the time.
Bought this router in Dec'2012 as my old one (Linksys) was more then 10 years old and not performing properly. Installation and configuring was easy and to date I have had excellent performance. I would highly recommend this device.
It seems you have to set the Time and Date manually. Once this is set it helps with many other problems with the router. But does not seem to fix all of them. One thing I did not check is if the Time/Date is getting reset to 2011 on every reboot.
Forgot to mention about making sure Date and Time are set correctly before you do anything else with the settings
There is a problem with Time and Date; On factory reset it gets set to the year 2011 and some strange date; The NTP time server function does not seem to be working or has to be set to something other than DLink time servers
Great Router / VPN for home or Small Business .. It's a bit technical but Interface is easy to figure out Had fast enough processor to support todays 200-400MB DL Speed and not Hiccup Make Sure to upgrade Firmware 3.11 is the latest for my Hardware ver4 do not try to install 3.12 Very fast Download...
Very easy to set up, stealth mode works, can turn off external web admin, can use with a bridged ADSL router used as an ADSL modem, so has the logon capability for that, fast enough for the fastest cable internet available at present
When I purchased this router and set it up I was quite happy. I locked it down and went on my merry way. One day I found that a number of my game accounts had been hacked (in 15 years of playing that has never happened).
The system itself has alot of great points to it; the capability for VPN and Firewall's is fantastic
Multiple backdoor accounts built into the firmware Multiple injection exploits
Works well, so far no problems.
Needed simple but enterprise ready router with high security... I WAS SOO WRONG! DO NOT BUY THIS ROUTER!
Solid build; Sleek looks; Wired only; closes door to attacks from Wifi
Logjam vulnerable, Horrible interface and glitchy; (expected standard D-Link orange interface with many menus, No firmware updates, Missing many configuration that are basic enterprise needs, Does not recognize my OpenVPN configuration file, Only one DHCP server and DNS depends on it
I bought this router to replace a 20 year old Netgear FVS338. Sadly, this router does NOT feature hairpin/loopback. The lack of that capability was a deal-breaker for me & subsequently returned it.
