I got a hold of these speakers for space saving reasons as I was packing away my creative 7.1 speaker system. At first I was worried about the volume and bass, but these speakers have ALOT of volume and a fair amount of bass for a set without a sub.

Creative have finally released their much anticipated Gigaworks T40 speakers that retail for a recommend price of $199 that not only boasts decent sound quality and appearance but is quite affordable in relation to other similar products on the market.
With multimedia becoming ever more important, having the right pair of speakers connected to your PC of notebook are essential. The Creative GigaWorks T40s are a neat and good looking solution.
Compact design; stunning sound quality

Creative's Gigaworks T40 speakers are, as the name suggests, the upgraded version of the Gigaworks T20 . The speakers are primarily taller, to allow room for a second mid-range driver above the tweeter.
Powerful and clear mid-range; deep and well defined bass; great volume levels with minimal distortion
Treble can be slightly overshadowed; the very lowest frequencies aren't as well represented as they would be with a dedicated subwoofer
I got these speakers originally to use with my little bookshelf stereo in my office since one of its speakers has gone bad. I didn't want to get some new system with multiple little speakers and a big bass box - for my office, two speakers are plenty.
speakers sound great - and there are only TWO of them; nice price (especially with a rebate
on-off switch is in a very very very awkward place on the back of one of the speakers where it is hard to reach; adapter for interface to a "normal" stereo system is not very useful
I bought these for my new desk for moving house and not wanting to have my 5.1 any more. They are an excellent set and produce great quality sound. The Bass is a bit fake when extremely high but still overall a great product for the money!
My Razer Mako 2.1 speakers stopped working for unknow reasons so I grabbed a pair of these on sale. The sound is no where near the Razer's but then neither is the price. I find the control buttons somewhat awkward, and the speakers would only stop buzzing when I used the front jack.
Well overall these speakers are ok but for the price (I paid about $140) you'd expect more out of them. I like to play it loud and these speakers can't really do that unless you want loud distorted sound.
Decent sound reproduction; Nice design; Simple setup
Only like 28 watts or something; For over $100 these speakers should perform very well..; but don't; They are a bit large
Pair these with a solid subwoofer and enjoy premium grade audio.
These speakers can’t match the power of a set with a dedicated subwoofer, but the excellent sound quality makes them a good compromise if you're short on space.
