Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite Mouse Review

The Scimitar RGB Elite works an absolute treat for MOBA and MMO gamers thanks to its 17 programmable buttons. In addition, the ergonomic design ensures it's delightfully comfortable and the 18,000 DPI sensor makes it super responsive. At £75 it's a very expensive wired gaming mouse, but it's easily worth the price for League of Legends devotees.

Infinite programming ability with the 12 side buttons; Super-accurate tracking; Classy design;

Pretty expensive; Hefty weight; Might be too wide for some;

Corsair Scimitar RGB Elite Review

Even before I played a lot of PC games, I knew about the Corsair Scimitar. I read blogs and magazines and saw pictures of "the crazy gaming mouse with a full number pad on the side." The 2015 Scimitar RGB actually had 12 numbered buttons on the side, which made it particularly memorable, even among MMO mice. Today, with the rise of hotkey-heavy MOBAs and a small MMO revival thanks to games like Final Fantasy XIV and Temtem, Corsair would like to oblige anyone looking to step up their macro game with the new and improved Scimitar RGB Elite ($79.99), which features a more powerful sensor, improved durability, and a slightly lighter frame. That's not much of an upgrade after five years, and even less when you remember Corsair made a Scimitar Pro between then and now. The Scimitar RGB Elite is still a solid choice and a bit of a throwback, but that's all it is. A Mouse for All Macros The Scimitar Elite's basic design hasn't changed since the original, so its priorities are a little d...

In the Scimitar RGB Elite, Corsair updates its iconic, macro-mad MMO mouse for 2020 in small, technical ways, but the refresh doesn't bring anything truly new to the table.

Comfortable shape; Whopping 17 customizable buttons; Adjustable side panel; Improved sensor

Scads of macro buttons force some uncomfortable thumb movements; Few actual design changes from previous version

Fantastic Mouse

The software isn't that bad. I've had no stability issues or errors it all works fine. Granted, it's not the most intuitive of software but it's highly functional. The mouse itself is great! I've been using one for years. Today I'll be going down to buy my second one. Not because there is anything wrong with the first, but because I need one for my laptop. The mouse itself is comfortable, durable and highly functional. I don’t know how many MMO hours I’ve pumped into my one but I’ve not been kind to it and it almost looks new. The mechanical buttons show no sign of ware and have a really pleasant press. I saw the previous reviews and couldn’t leave the page with such a negative reflection on this product. I highly recommend this mouse.

Best MMO Mouse

Have used both the Razor and Corsair and this one is by far the best MMO mouse. Easy setup and feels great on the hand.

The ICUE softwere is a complete Joke.

This softaeare is complicated and stupid. Setting your mouse bindings is going to be a hassle. And once you do set it up, the bindings change at random. This happened while afk in Wow tonight. During a game, the mice bindings changed. I had even deleted all other mice binding profiles, so it could not change, but it still changed.

Terrible mouse and horrendously buggy software

Terrible mouse and iCue software is horrendously buggy and problematic. Software caused computer to crash and freeze. Settings and configurations were continuously lost. Buttons eventually became unresponsive and would stick on.
