Canon's imagePROGRAPH iPF5100 has been designed for a production environment and combines rugged construction with sophisticated engineering plus features to satisfy demanding photographers.

We bought this printer and used it less than 20 times and the left print head packed up. Read some reviews before buying Canon printers, this happens a lot. My wife works at 4 universities teaching fine art printing and digital photography. I teach inject printing and digital photography.

I am a professional portrait photograher. I use this printer to print my own photos up through 16x20. I also print Holiday cards. The first year I had tech support out twice to repair the printer. The second year they were out three times and the printer was down a full week during my busy season.

Still evaluating. Included software CD does not include Windows 7. Downloaded software from Canon website, and have yet to get a print out of it.

This is a great printer, as I was using the prevous model the IPF 5000, it gave exlent prints at low cost. except when it came to buy the cartsges at $100 each, the printer take 12 of them, (you do the math). This is fast printer you can get a 17X22 print in 5 mins.

I have used the iPF5100 and the iPF6100 for over a year now. These two printers consistently out put some of my best works. The color saturation is unbelievable and the black and white prints are the best I have seen with any printer.

Large Footprint

I like it. It prints well, and the ncolors are good.

I have been using this printer for 18 months now. It produces excellent prints and has been completely trouble-free.
