Any doubts that the Canon Pixma Pro-100 is a heavyweight piece of kit will be dispelled the moment you (attempt to) take this A3+ printer out of the box. It's astonishingly hefty – so much so that the first thing we did was lift the lid to see where Canon had hidden the bricks.

I purchased this printer approximately 8 months ago and I was immediately excited by the ease of set up. It took me less than 10 minutes to have all the software installed and the printer up and running. The overall picture quality is phenomenal. In my opinion this printer is a solid 5 star product.

The PIXMA PRO-100S is a superb A3+ printer for pro and semi-pro photographers. For anyone else it's overkill

(As you can imagine, the more inks, or colors, present, the wider the range of possible mixtures.) As to the Pro-100's physical stature, it measures 8.5 inches high, 27.2 inches across, and 15.2 inches from front to back.

Prints absolutely stunning pictures. Couldn't have asked for more for pictures up to 13x19".

This works well enough for home printing. I still have a lot to learn on it, though. The Image Garden is very limited, and I wish it had more features.

- Ink is $124 for all 8 cartridges; For small 4x6 prints, it is actually cheaper to go to Walgreens, but the quality of this printer is higher than the quality of their printers; For large prints, this costs about half what Walgreens charges.

I was very pleased with the level of service and communication provided by Ted's Cameras. My new Canon printer is excellent. It handles up to A3 and has 8 colour cartridges. However it is large unit so it would be a squeeze for a smaller desk.
