But they don't make it anymore. This one pops and snaps so loud it's amazing. Worse thing is the design doesn't work well when we want to heat things without the top fully down on the food. Like when were reheat pizza ,etc.

It seems like it's a very good quality appliance. My panini cooked evenly and quickly. I made a grilled cheese sandwich in it which got kind of squashed flat but tasted good!
So we all know what a sandwich toaster does - toast sandwiches! But Breville were one of the first brands on the market (or even THE first) and I've stuck with them through the years as I've always found them durable and good quality. This is the second one I've owned.
