Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 - Black 794297-0100 review

Bose has truly made a great pair of headphones with the NC 700. Be it design, audio quality or the excellent noise-cancelling tech, it’s hard to find a fault with these pair of headphones. Perhaps a price tag of just over Rs 35,000 might turn off more than a few prospective buyers.

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 - Black 794297-0100 review

Bose was once the only and go-to company that made the best noise-canceling headphones. If you traveled on planes and trains, the QuietComfort series is all you would see people wearing. But as time wen ton, new players came into the game and began making waves.

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 review

The 700s USP is undoubtedly its new voice pickup system. If you’re someone who makes a lot of calls on-the-go, you won’t find better. Meanwhile the already exceptional noise cancelling tech is even better, and can be tweaked precisely to the user’s taste. Other features, like a band’s worth of voice assistants and the slick touch controls, are also winners. It’s just a shame that the app appears to be temperamental - at least for now - and I can’t shake the feeling that, although the 700s are far from sonic slouches - I’d rather be listening to my music on their obvious rival, the Sony WH-1000XM3. But if call quality and noise cancelling are just as important to you, Bose’s new flagship cans are the new gold standard.

Great new design; Noise cancelling is as brilliant as ever, and now fully customisable; Peerless voice pickup; Excellent voice assistant support; Let you pair two devices simultaneously;

Not quite as comfortable as the QC35 IIs; Buggy app; Sony’s WH-1000XM3 are cheaper and sound better;

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 Review

The Bose NC 700 headphones serve up excellent levels of comfort, as well as impressive sound and noise cancellation. Though the Sony XM4 edge them out as our favourite wireless ANC over-ears, the Bose are a great-looking pair of headphones

Very comfortable; Very good noise cancellation; Easy to use app; Great looks; Neutral sounding character;

Can't fold; Audio could use a little more organisation; 20-hours battery not massive ;

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 review: Top noise-canceling headphones take it up just a notch

The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, the long-awaited successor to its QuietComfort 35 II models, have a lot to live up to. The QuietComfort series is almost 20 years old and is essentially the gold standard for active noise-canceling headphones, beloved by airline travelers and open-office residents the world over for their ability to block out a good chunk of external distractions. Simply put, the QC35s are a hard act to follow, and some people aren't going to like all the changes that Bose has made in creating this new successor headphone.

While not a quantum leap forward over the QC35 IIs, the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 offers slightly better noise canceling, sound and call quality.

The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are very comfortable, have excellent noise canceling and work really well as a headset for making calls. They sound better than the Quiet Comfort 35 II, are loaded with features, including the option for hands-free Alexa and Bose AR. Noise-canceling levels are adjustable, they work without power; USB-C charging; transparency mode.

$50 to $100 more than their closest competitors; QuietComfort 35 II is slightly more comfortable; battery life isn't as good as the of some competitors; the accompanying mobile app isn't fully baked.
