Designed for CAD/CAM users, photo editors, and content creators, the BenQ PD2700Q Designer Monitor ($499) is a moderately priced 27-inch business monitor that uses In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology to deliver solid grayscale and viewing-angle performance.

Outstanding mid-price range monitor

The PD2700Q 27" is all I could ask for in my Photoshop and video editing needs. It exceeded the consumer level products that I have used in the past in brightness, contrast, and true color rendition... no exaggerations.

BenQ PD2700Q 27-inch QHD Designer Monitor

It's well established that an IPS panel, regardless of the monitor it's used in, will be more expensive than a TN screen. After three years or so, prices of premium business-class monitors like the PD2700Q haven't dropped much, but they are lower than they were.

Out-of-box color accuracy; Contrast; Build quality; Ideal 109ppi pixel density

Uniformity issues with our sample; Slightly light gamma; Input lag

I'm not a graphic designer or a gamer: I bought this monitor mainly for browsing and programming. And it is absolutely gorgeous. Text is retina-crisp; photos look amazing. I am using it with a 2015 Macbook Pro. In the native resolution of "retina 1920x1080" I find that text is a bit too large.

BenQ LCD works great with Surface Pro 4 - Keep Out of Sleep Mode

I have been using the BenQ PD2700Q as my only monitor with a Surface Pro 4 with MS Docking Station. The main purpose for the monitor was for software development using Visual Studio. The Surface Pro 4 display setting are set to 125% Scaling, Landscape, Duplicate the display.

Seems excellent so far

Had it recommended by an IT person and it has been great, plugged straight into my older HP desktop box DP port and worked

BenQ PD2700Q review: a sensible monitor for creatives

Today we're looking at not a designer monitor, but a monitor for designers: the PD2700Q. It comes with a 27-inch 10-bit IPS panel with a 2560 by 1440 resolution, at a reasonable £330 price point. Let's put it to the test and see how it performs!

☆ Excellent colour accuracy; uniformity and white balance; ☆ Capable stand for easy ergonomics; ☆ Helpful modes for creatives

☆ Luminance uniformity is a little lacking; ☆ Larger bezels; so less suitable for multi-monitor use; ☆ Only suitable for slower-paced gaming

Great Monitor for all day use

Excellent monitor, recommend for anyone wanting more quality screen real estate for work, gaming or anything else.

Anti-glare, easy on the eyes, perfect usable resolution for the size without needing to rely on scaling (issues with some RDP connections on 4K monitors but not this one); The mount is very robust and versatile

The software to split the screen is not great, best not to use it; Need to get a bigger desk to fit more of these..

I've ordered 2 of these monitors now and both have had obvious dead pixels right out of the box. Picture quality and build are both great but I've been put out of work for days and have over $1100 tied up in returns with nothing to show for it.

BenQ PD2700U

BenQ's new 27 incher is a no-nonsense 4K monitor with a quality IPS panel and its sights set on serious computing and content creators

Accurate; high-quality IPS panel; Plenty of desktop real estate; Tight pixel pitch makes for lots of detail

Only 60Hz refresh; No adaptive sync; No USB Type-C connectivity
