Beats Solo3 Wireless

Beats' Solo3 Wireless on-ear Bluetooth headphone ($300/£250/AU$400) looks nearly identical to the Beats Solo 2 Wireless because -- on the outside at least -- Beats hasn't updated its design.

The Beats Solo3 Wireless is a well-built wireless headphone that sounds good in both wireless and wired modes and is relatively comfortable to wear for an on-ear headphone; Its battery life is best-in-class (40 hours) and has a remote control built-in to the right earcup that's easy to operate by...

It's expensive; and doesn't sound quite as good as other wireless headphones that cost $300

When Apple purchased the Beats Music and Beats Electronics for a cool $3m in 2014, the tech world was largely speechless at the acquisition price. Apple, however, had big plans for the brand as it aimed to not only bring the portfolio onto their books, but also expand and improve their current...

Beats Solo3 Wireless review: Beats popular on-ear wireless headphone gains best-in-class battery life

Beats' Solo3 Wireless on-ear Bluetooth headphone ($300/£250/AU$400) looks nearly identical to the Beats Solo 2 Wireless because -- on the outside at least -- Beats hasn't updated its design. The big change is on the inside: The Solo3 uses Apple's new W1 custom Bluetooth chip, which improves battery life drastically and makes pairing the headphone with Apple devices dead simple.

Beats has taken the same headphone that so many people know and love and improved its battery life dramatically, but the price is still too high.

The Beats Solo3 Wireless is a well-built wireless headphone that sounds good in both wireless and wired modes and is relatively comfortable to wear for an on-ear headphone; Its battery life is best-in-class (40 hours) and has a remote control built-in to the right earcup that's easy to operate by feel; The new W1 chip makes it supersimple to pair with Apple devices.

It's expensive; and doesn't sound quite as good as other wireless headphones that cost $300.

Amazing headphones.

Love them. I have been using them since they got here. Just remember android users to sync your bluetooth and phone volume inside of the bluetooth options screen. The three dots to the upper right when inside of bluetooth. Then you can solve the volume issues.

Worth it.

As per it's technical description this is a perfect headphone. Clear sound, 36+ hours battery backup really makes it superb. I have purchased this in sale. So it's worth for me. Thanks Amazon.

Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphone - Black

Apple is really doing it: they're taking a brand that has the dominant marketshare in the headphone marketplace despite having had subpar audio quality, and greatly improving it while adding groundbreaking features that will take the competition a year or two to catch up with.

W1 chip; 40+ hours of battery life; portable; understated design; bestinclass comfort and isolation for an onear headphone; fun sound signature

Slight lack of clarity in the highs; bass bleeds into lower mids at times (rarely); lowend could be a tad more detailed

Beats Solo 3 wireless headphones review: Bass solo

Beats has been pretty quiet of late, but with the launch of the new iPhone 7 and iOS 10 the company has released four new headphones - including an update to its popular Solo range.

W1 connectivity for Apple users; big bass; long battery life; quick charge

Snug fit is a little too snug; bass can drown out detail; expensive

Beats Solo3 Wireless review

Beats has been quietly upping its game over the past few years, and the Solo3 Wireless is easily the best pair of cans it has ever put out. Pairng with Apple's tech team has made them even more of a must-have if you're an iPhone 7 owner, or if you're likely to pick one up sometime soon - on the...

Incredible wireless range; 40 hour battery life; Great design

No noise cancellation; Better-sounding headphones available at this price; Limited range of colours at launch
