Ill be honest.. headphones arent for music listening.. there is not enough bass.. Quality is 7/10, Isolation is 5/10.. sound is not loud enough (through my smartphone).. you can buy much better headphones at 100$(for music listening).. However I didnt use this for audio mixing and etc.

For the price, the ATH-M40x is terrific value. Good, sharp sound that reveals little details in songs. I'm happy rediscovering a lot of my music as it has added new depth to my music library. Yet still, I don't love the M40x like I did my old IM70s.

Been using these headphones for 2 weeks now. Can't complain. Noise isolation is incredible. Though it gets a lil hot after long continuous hours of use. But again, that's probably because U r getting such good noise isolation. Never gets uncomfortable though. Fits perfectly around the ears.

just received them now, as soon as i took them out of the box they felt very solid, the built quality is excellent, very comfortable to hear, and the sound is just amazing very balanced sound, its a must buy if these are in your price range.

They're cheaper, but can the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x live up to the expectations set by the more popular ATH-M50 series?

A little lacking in comfort

Fine acoustically neutral headphones. Bare bones wired phones, very comfortable fit. Comes with two wires/different plugs and nice carry/storage case. Very good value! Great sound!

Exceptional quality for the price, blows away beats on every front. Very good for casual and professional usage and exceptionally sturdy! Would recommend!
