When ASUS were first getting their Strix brand up and running the decision was made to make an owl the mascot of the models. This led to all sorts of products which utilised this theme as ASUS tried to get it imprinted in the public consciousness.
The headset plugs into a PS4 but you're not able to change the volume using the touch sensors. The only way to change the volume is by using the system volume on the PS4 and with that on full is nowhere near good enough!! Don't say an item is compatible with something when it doesn't fully work.
