Asus ROG Gladius II

We tested the Gladius II on a number of games, including Grim Dawn, DOTA 2, Far Cry 4, Endless Space 2, and Europa Universalis IV. While the mouse moved easily on its four rubber cushions, it proved a bit heavy for DOTA 2 combat.

Detachable cord; Attractive, ergonomic design; Excellent optical sensor; Sniper-mode button; Lift-distance wizard; Extra pair of switches

Pricey for what you get; only three stored profiles, and not executable-specific. Only two DPI settings. No separate X/Y axis controls. Buggy, primitive macro editor. Rubber grips are slick; frenetic lighting effects can't be slowed

Asus ROG Gladius II

RGB lighting has become synonymous with PC gaming hardware and, like it or loathe it, the eye-catching illuminations are here to stay. Asus is one of many manufacturers eager to update its product range with synchronised LEDs marketed under the Aura umbrella.

Retains the popular Gladius profile; Ultra-precise optical sensor; Aura lighting is crisp and bright; Easy to use software utility; Choice of cables and switches

Pricey compared to Gladius I; DPI target button not for everyone

ASUS RoG Gladius II Optical Gaming Mouse Review

The latest gaming mouse from ASUS RoG certainly leaves me impressed. It's not as crazy as some of the mice in this price range, which can often feature many more buttons, wireless features, even an OLED screen, but that's perfectly fine, as I prefer something that's a little more focused on the job.

Durable build quality; Removable cables; Modular switches; Flawless sensor performance; Durable rubber side grips; Sniper button; Macro engine; RGB lighting

Asus ROG Gladius II

I'd normally balk at the idea of spending over £30 on a mouse. I've never been one for owning flashy gizmos or the latest and greatest, so the thought of forking over more than double that for something like the Asus ROG Gladius II (which currently costs just over £70 in the UK and $95 in the US )...

Asus ROG Gladius II Review

It seems Asus is on a roll at the moment. We have been getting a lot of products coming through our doors, and reviews have been generally positive. The latest product to arrive is the Asus ROG Gladius II mouse. If you are a long-time bit-tech reader, you may think you have seen this mouse already.

Good function, doesn't jive with Aura 100%

I bought this mouse to pair with my Asus mobo and GPU and the AURA SYNC lighting system. While this is AURA enabled and is picked up by the software it also has it's own software called ROG Armoury which you use for macro programming and separate mouse lighting controls.

Looks cool.

I like the look of this but that is about it. I had it for a few weeks but the right mouse button is horrible. to easy to click I even changed it with things that came in the box and it got worse. Sometimes the right mouse gets stuck as well. Waste of $100...

Rubber pads on bottom stick out too far and mouse does not slide properly.

Looks Great

- Rubber pieces on the bottom stick out at different lengths causing mouse not to slight out jump around and get stuck on desk, even with mouse pad; I'm hoping the rubber wears out that's why I'm giving it 3 stars not 2

Asus ROG Gladius II

Asus' Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand makes dependable and desirable devices for serious gamers, and its latest mouse, the Asus ROG Gladius II, looks set to continue that tradition.

Feels great; Robust design; Looks good; Responsive; Customizable

Expensive; Lacks some features

ASUS ROG Gladius II Mouse Review

The ASUS ROG Gladius II is the long-awaited successor to the original Gladius mouse which we reviewed in 2014. Back with a vengeance, the Gladius II sports a new sensor, support for ASUS' Aura lighting technology, and hot-swappable Omron switches.

Very comfortable; Replacement switches are included; RGB lighting is top-notch; Pixart PMW 3360 sensor; Sniper button is a good addition

ROG Armoury is not quite as comprehensive as Razer Synapse; Can only set 2 DPI stages
