Brought this on sale at the Boxing Day sale - so only a few weeks old - to replace a Spark issued modem as the place is getting overrun with devices and thought this would improve coverage, and speed - Oh and for the parental controls. As another reviewer said when it works its OK, but I have real issue of it dropping connection to wireless devices frequently. Also the parental controls ain't the easiest to master and haven't worked (time didn't stop the user) on a couple of occasions... To late to exchange / return now, might end up on trademe....

Works well on Spark VDSL and the speed is very good on ethernet and wireless. The range is very good and can still be connected to from the street outside about 15m and 4 walls apart. It also doesn't get very hot like many other modems which usually causes problems. The speed remains around 4 MB/s even with 2 simultaneous HD video streams and 1 large download. The modem does have occasional disconnections, but reports that the "phone line seems unstable" . This problem only occurs at my house, so it seems my phone line is not very stable. Probably not the fault of the modem.

seems to have a worse range than the basic junk you get from Vodafone and phone line output doesn't work either

it looks good that's all. Range and performance is lacking. Not recommended
