Arlo Video Doorbell Review
Best known for its excellent wireless outdoor home security cameras, the Arlo Video Doorbell ($149.99) is the company's first smart doorbell. It lets you see who is at your door using your phone or an Alexa smart display, and it will alert you when the bell has been pressed or when someone approaches, with a live HDR video stream and the ability to speak with whomever is out there. It also offers some nice premium features including smart motion detection, 30 days of rolling video storage, and custom motion activity zones, but you have to pay extra for them. It also lacks some of the features that you get with our less expensive Editors' Choice, the RemoBell S.
Design and Features
With its black faceplate and white trim, the Arlo Video Doorbell is certainly attractive, but at 5.0 by 1.7 by 1.0 inches (HWD), it's a bit larger than the similar-looking Nest Hello (4.6 by 1.7 by 1.0 inches). That said, you should have no trouble mounting it on a typical doorframe.
