Perfect Camera Adapter

Great way to connect my camera to an Ipad to download photos. Works well and fast. It is expensive but it does the job very well. I brought a cheaper third party device which was very temperamental and failed after 2 months. I would recommend investing in Apple's own adapter.

APPLE AirPort Extreme WiFi Cable & Fibre Router

Extremely (!) easy to setup - does most of it automatically; Looks good, blends nicely into the background; Excellent wifi penetration through most substrates

Would be nice if it had the audio output like Express so it could be used to allow Airplay to SONOS etc

Does exactly what it says it will do, and these days, that is a rare trait.

My download speed increased by 31% just by installing this device over Apple's original Airport Base Station. I would have had to pay my ISP an additional $30/month to get this new speed, so from a purely cost/benefit analysis, this purchase will pay for itself in under 10 months.

Apple AirPort Extreme (6th generation)

The monolithic AirPort Extreme is an 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi router. It's designed to complement the new 802.11ac-compatible Macs, yet is backwards compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n devices.

Fast speeds; AFP networking

Limited advanced features

Careful what you ask for

I wanted to use this to transfer data from a flash drive to my iPad, but a power supply was needed due to the amount of data to be transferred, thus the product was insufficient to accomplish the task.

Airport Extreme

Bought Airport Extreme to replace Airport express in order to boost wi-fi signal to devices in another part of the house; now use Airport Extreme as primary router and Airport express as a signal booster. Not perfect, but an improvement

End of an era - grab one while you can

End of an era - Apple have decided to stop producing the AirPort Extreme - but will support for another 5 years until 2023 I guess. In May 2018 I bought an AirPort Extreme to feed two AirPort Express devices linked into HiFi systems in separate parts of my house.
