Acer Predator XB271HU Review

The Acer Predator XB271HU ($799.99) not only looks identical to its sibling, the Predator XB271HK ($586.46 at Newegg) , but it also delivers outstanding gaming performance and is equipped with many of the same features, including a fully adjustable stand, gamer presets, and Nvdia's G-Sync technology. But the Acer XB271HK is a 4K gaming monitor that offers better color accuracy than the XB271HU ($459.99 at Amazon) . Even though it costs $100 more, it remains our top pick for large-screen gaming displays. Design and Features On the outside, the XB271HU is indistinguishable from the Acer XB271HK. Both use a sleek, bezel-free, matte-black cabinet and come with a black and red V-shaped stand. The stand provides 5.9 inches of height, 40 degrees of tilt, and 30 degrees of swivel adjustability, and allows you to pivot the cabinet 90 degrees for Portrait-mode viewing. Pressing the quick-release button lets you remove the cabinet from the stand and hang it on a wall using the four VESA mou...

The 27-inch Acer Predator XB271HU offers very good gaming performance, a fully adjustable stand, and lots of style.

Nvidia G-Sync anti-tearing technology; Very good gaming and gray-scale performance; Fast refresh rate; Stylish design

Expensive; Middling color accuracy; Weak speakers; Only two video inputs

Not 3D Capable

I returned the monitor because 3D was a main selling feature for me and although it does seem to have the electronics for it (it did go into 3D mode) the L/R separation was terrible.

Great color, great resolution; GSync

This monitor is not 3D capable; The bezel is very thin ~3-4mm, but that is irrelevant since the picture does not go right to the bezel; There is a ~10mm border all the way around; They may as well have put a regular bezel on it; The price is way too high considering this feature is missing

Been watching this product for a long time, and have been waiting for the price to be justifiable for me. At the full market price, I didn't feel this was the case and couldn't justify near on £700 for a monitor. However since receiving the product I can not express how pleased I am with it.

Acer Predator XB271HUA 27" WQHD Nvidia G-SYNC Gaming Monitor , 2560X1440 , 1MS , 165Hz Max , ( Ex-Demo Unit for Clearance , no Back order )

Love this screen. I was struggling with my AOC 28" 4k, overclocked to 70hz / 70fps and gtx1080ti, for first person shooter you really want 144+ frames. Now sitting on 2k resolution, and mid-high settings on overwatch at 165fps and it's smooth as butter.

I usually shake my head in revulsion when people start talking about 4K this, 5K that, bitcoins, raspberry pi, etc etc. But I was swayed by a co-worker who insisted the change from 1080 to 1440 is substantial enough to warrant pursuing, so I stuck to the model line I already came to appreciate and...

Don't buy this ! It's my third one and i have to rma it tomorrow. With all the delays and the waiting for the replacements it's been 30 days and i will probably have to ask a refund and lost the cost of the shipping and the express coverage. 100$ lost....wow. Backlight bleed on all my 3 monitors.

165 hertz; colors; look; 1440p; IPS panel; no dead pixels

Impossible Backlight Bleed on 3 monitors

A fantastic gaming monitor that fits both gamers and professionals, but has a steep price tag that's scares away all but those with deep pockets.

Acer Predator XB1 (XB271HU) WQHD (2560×1440) 144 Hz G-Sync Monitor Review

Acer Predator XB1 (XB271HU) WQHD 144 Hz Monitor There sure aren't a whole lot of options on the market for WQHD (2560 x 1440) 144 Hz monitors, and even less options when you're looking for an IPS display panel. Heck, you don't have a lot of options for WQHD 144 Hz TN panels, either, especially
