I was looking for a gaming laptop that offered portability too, most gaming laptops are bulky or heavy, sometimes both. this one is just under 5 pounds and oh boy is this laptop a powerhouse, it does everything i throw at it.

Editor's Note: This is a review-in-progress. We have yet to fully test the Acer Predator Triton 500 and therefore haven't awarded this a score, but here's what we think so far. After being shown off at CES 2019, we ' ve finally been able to pick up an Acer Predator Triton 500 gaming laptop, carrying...
Top-end graphics and performance; Dependable cooling system; Subtle; slender design; Affordable asking price
No 4K display option; Typically limited battery life
So where does the Predator Triton 500 land At $1,800 for the version here, it's decently priced. We say that because we know some will want to compare the Predator Triton 500 to other laptops with the same or slightly better components, and a similar or smaller price.
If you're looking for a portable gaming laptop that doesn't pull any punches, the Acer Predator Triton 500 can keep up with the best of them. There are a couple of design flaws that hold it back from the upper end of the pantheon of gaming laptops, but it's still worth your cash.
Extremely powerful; Solid RGB; Beautiful display; Surprisingly long battery life
Kind of expensive; Flimsy lid; Awkward keyboard layout
Acer's Predator Triton 500 is a gaming laptop we'd actually want to carry around. Sure, we may look hungrily at a monster gaming laptop that's nearly...
Its GeForce RTX 2060 GPU is competitive with the GeForce GTX 1070; Relatively thin and solid-feeling body
Difficult to upgrade memory and storage; Doesn't feature per-key RGB lighting on keyboard
The Predator Triton 500 isn't without fault, but it's one of the better - and more affordable - RTX-powered gaming laptops we've tried.
Relatively affordable; Great performance; Subtle design
God-awful boot-up sound; Flimsy screen; Poor battery life and high temperatures
All-in-all, it's hard to pick too many faults with the Triton 500. It's a surprisingly good gaming machine with some really neat features, good quality speakers and some serious gaming power under the hood.
No compromise design that includes Ethernet and multiple USB ports; Turbo button for easy overclocking; Interesting audio solution; Comfortable-to-use membrane keyboard; Superb 144Hz screen
Middling battery life; Frustrating media key layout; Small capacity SSD fills up quickly; Chassis is a bit of a fingerprint magnet
The Acer Predator Triton 500 is probably the first gaming laptop I've tested where I've almost completely forgotten it's a gaming laptop. Sure, the keyboard's RGB backlight is a bit of a giveaway, as is the blue LED Predator logo on the back of the display, but this is by far one of the quietest...
I tried Asus ROG, Dell gaming laptops but this one surpasses every models I tried and even more the ones I didn't try. I got this device for a little cheaper somewhere else, but specs are awesome. I just wanted to give a 5 star review!!!
Back at IFA 2019 in September, Acer grabbed the headlines with the new Predator Triton 500, a new gaming laptop with an actually absurd 300 Hz display. Regardless of your feelings on a display that fast , it grabbed attention. But fortunately, it's not the only good thing Acer has going on here.
