When we reviewed the AOC E1649Fwu portable USB monitor last year it earned high marks for its color and text quality and affordable price but we thought it was a little bulky and suffered from narrow viewing angles. Its successor, the AOC E1659Fwu($99.99 at Amazon), is also affordable and it delivers sharp text and bright (albeit not very accurate) colors and somewhat narrow viewing angles. However, there are notable improvements, including USB 3.0 connectivity and a more streamlined chassis. Design and Features The E1659Fwu sports the same shiny black finish and weighs about the same as its predecessor (2.4 pounds), but at 0.9 inches this version is significantly thinner than the AOC E1649Fwu (1.4 inches). Material, picture, and durability quality all get 3 stars but the product overall gets 4 because it is still working. I havent had it for very long but other reviewers have said it died on them. Mine is doing exactly what I paid for it to do (be an extended monitor for work) and it's going strong.

Nicely made, small foot print and good resolution. Works well with Windows 10 and Apple Mojave (beta). Will not work with newest version of High Sierra, (.14). But works with earlier and the new Mojave. Plug and play with Windows 10. Requires software patch from manufacturer for Apple Mojave.

I ordered this screen to work with my work laptop since I travel some and thought it would be convenient to have. It will not work with my laptop because it has Windows 10 on it (I have looked but do not see a work around nor do I see it mentioned in the specs that it does not work with Windows 10).

I have the screen working on both my Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 running Windows 8 and my Hp Elite book running Windows 7. And the HP does not have a 3.0 USB port.

This works great for table top presentations. Fast 3.0 usb and popped right up as a second monitor. Fits in my briefcase. Loving this!
