I previously had a Canon PowerShot SX50 HS. I know it is quite a leap to have bought the Sony A7R II however I just LOVE it. It is light compared to the Canon or Nikon that were in the same range of quality. It is easy to use and the quality of my images have increased by 200%.

Almost perfect

I bought this camera as an upgrade to an A7II I owned, it is superb, image quality is amazing as is dynamic range. Sony's firmwarecentric drive with omission of features to try and make you upgrade ala A7RIII does leave a bitter taste, prime example is ‘my menu' sorely needed on this camera and...

Sony Alpha a7R II (no lens included)

Now that SONY upgrade the Alpha A7 Series to the New A7RIII, A9 and the budged is a constrain, the A7RII still the best option to buy. If you are considering upgrade from the A6000 series, A7, A7II, or DSLR, the A7RII is loaded with a fantastic features and a 42.4 MP sensor you won't regrets for...

It new price and features, Sensor quality and resolution, 42.4MP; Same as the A7III AND the 7RIII; 399 AF points, 5 axis in body stabilization system..; A7 series with the play memories apps access..

The only but not a deal breaker, shoots per battery charge; Batteries are cheaper now; With 4 batteries in your bag you are covered; No other cons found

Don't sleep on Sony!

I love this camera!! I know I could've spent a little more money and snagged the a7riii but I felt this would exceed my expectations which is it did and more! I bought this baby and paired it 85mm 1.4 and WOW!

Great camera !!

The a7Rii has so many options that as a retired truck drive, will probably not use, auto works great for me !! My first DSL camera, CX 100, almost 16yrs old, 14,000 photos, still working good !! I past it on to my daughter, but kept some of the lens that I bought though the years !!

You can't buy a single camera that does it all, no matter how much you spend. The most expensive DSLR or mirrorless offerings will give you top-notch photos or great video-not both in a single package. But Sony's A7r Mark II is tantalizingly close to being that do-it-all camera.

What a Camera! Couple big issues

I have now been using this camera, along my 5Dm3 for over 3 years. There is a reason I always take my Canon on shoots. After a few embafrassing glitches.... As soon as I have to swap lenses, Respond time in fast paced work, I am happy to put this down and grab the 5Dm3.
