Google just announced the Pixel Watch 2. Is it any good?

The Google Pixel 6a is the cheapest and smallest of the Pixel 6 lineup. Though the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro came out in 2021, Google releases a budget-friendly version of its Pixel lineup midway through the product cycle. That means the Pixel 6a came out in 2022, and honestly, it’s still a great phone even here in 2023. With the Pixel 6a, you have the same Pixel design as the mainline Pixel series, Google’s Tensor chipset, great cameras, and everything comes in a small and lightweight body. With the main Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro coming in at 6.4 and 6.7 inches, the smaller 6.1-inch size of the Pixel 6a is a welcome addition for those who don’t like larger phones. So, just how good is the Pixel 6a? Let’s find out. If you’ve seen the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the Pixel 6a’s aesthetics will be immediately familiar. The front of the phone has a large display with a centered hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. The back sports a two-tone design separated by Google’s iconic camera bar towar...

Compact, lightweight design; IP67 water resistance; Flagship-grade performance; Excellent cameras; Clean software; Years of guaranteed updates;

Display is only 60Hz; Tensor chip runs hot; Lacking battery life;

Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review

Google Pixel 6a is a good mid-range with some quirks

One of the better point-and-shoot cameras, Decent 60Hz OLED display, Superb build quality and IP67

Battey life variable – poor under load, No charger inbox, Does not support MicroSD and USB-C portable SSD, Throttling is excessive, City and suburbs phone only

The Google Pixel 6a has exceeded expectations and we’re happy to report that after two years, the ‘fucc’ is well and truly back.

Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review

The Google Pixel 6a is a model example of a small-screen Android phone – and I think its size is the key selling point. However, the older Pixel 6 from 2021 doesn't really cost much more and will suit a wider audience really.

Android runs at its best on Pixel, Decent, easy-to-use cameras arrangement, Battery life is impressive despite smallish capacity, If you don't want a massive phone this is a solid option

Only a 60Hz refresh rate display, Screen feels small (to me anyway), Pixel 6 isn't much more cash and a more logical buy for most, Proximity to Pixel 7 series reveal in October feels mistimed

The design of the Pixel 6a can turn heads and this is a 6.1-inch-screened phone that fits the hand well.

Excellent value, Cool design, Fast performance, Recorder app

Only two cameras, Too small for some

Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review

Google is on a roll. After years of good but not great phones, the Pixel 6a is another excellent model bringing the Android-maker’s magic down to a more affordable price. It uses the same recipe that makes Apple’s iPhone SE so good: a mid-range phone with the company’s top chip.

Pros: brilliant camera, good smaller screen, top performance, good battery life, recycled aluminium, five years of security updates, Android 12, smart software features, competitively priced.

Cons: fairly slow charging, no optical zoom, no macro photo mode, no face unlock option, screen only 60Hz.

Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review

The most affordable Pixel. The small, 6.1-inch Google Pixel 6a is very fast and offers perhaps the best cameras in the smartphone mid-range. In addition, it scores with a bright AMOLED display, a good battery life, and a long period of updates.

bright AMOLED display, always-on display, fast SoC, IP67 certification, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1, powerful dual camera, long update period

only 60 Hz, maximum of 128 GB storage, no wireless charging, charger not included, maximum charging at 18 watts

Google Pixel 6a 5G (6GB RAM, 128GB, Sage) - Brand New review

Justin Duino / Review Geek The Pixel A-series is back, and Google has another winner on its hands. The new Google Pixel 6a is arguable the best bang for your buck and easy to recommend. If you’re on a budget, buy this phone.

Great value, Solid specs and performance, Typical Pixel experience

Smaller battery than its predecessor, No wireless charging, Older cameras

The 6A’s Tensor chipset makes all the difference in this midrange phone

Flagship-class processor and performance, Good camera, Very good battery life

Standard refresh rate screen, Fingerprint sensor is still kind of slow
