Apple's smallest MacBook Pro laptop has plenty of power and a long battery life

The 13in Apple MacBook has gone Pro, with more memory, beefier processors and an embedded battery that outlasts similar-sized notebooks we've tested. We would prefer an option for a more powerful graphics card though.

Fantastic build quality and design; extremely long battery life; multi-touch trackpad; beefy processor and RAM options

RAM upgrades are expensive through Apple; no anti-glare display coating option; battery can't be removed

Good value for money, quick and easy upgrade.

I upgraded from My old Macbook and took only 1hr to back up using time machine and transfer all my applications, files and desktop exactly as it looked on my old laptop. The battery only lasts about 4 hours unplugged from the charger but I only use it at home so it's not that much of a problem.

Still, let it be said: We're jealous of anyone who buys either of the Retina-equipped MacBook Pro models. These prime MacBooks simply exude quality, craftsmanship, and concern for the user, from the bundled software to the feel of the lid latch and hinges.

Stunning super-high-res screen; First-class construction and software experience; Great battery life

Expensive; especially compared to 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro; Integrated graphics

MacBook Pro with Retina display review (13-inch, late 2012)

Apple's new 13-inch MacBook with a Retina display effectively crosses the divide between Air and Pro, but at a premium cost.

Thinner and lighter than the other 13-inch Pro; Near-comprehensive selection of ports; Great I/O performance

Thicker than 15-inch Retina Pro; No discrete graphics; Price

Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch (Late 2011) Review

The Late 2011 model replaces the earlier MacBook Pro 13-inch for the same price of Rs.84,900, while the ‘cheaper' one with a 2.4GHz Core i5 CPU retails for Rs.69,900. Considering a little more money can fetch your the 15-inch model that's also a lot more powerful, the 13-inch feels quite expensive.

Apple MacBook Pro 13: Can a Mac Be a Decent Windows Laptop?

Apple products tend to be tough to give a conclusion on. There's the style factor, the (lack of) value factor, the fanboy factor, the OS X factor (for Macs), etc. Macs are divisive products-the people who use them love them, but for every person that loves a Mac there's two more that wish all things...
