11in 2014 MacBook Air review

You can now buy an Apple MacBook Air for £749. This isn't the lowest ever price for a Mac laptop – back in 2005 you could buy a 12in iBook for just £699, but the price drop, as much as £130 in the case of the 256GB MacBook Air models, is welcome.

Lower price; slightly faster (in some areas; Excellent battery life; Light; Compact

Slower storage in some cases; Sluggish write speeds

Apple MacBook Air 11in (2014) review

Even Apple's cheapest laptop is head and shoulders above most of its competitors, and in terms of build, battery life and usability the MacBook Air 11 is an all-round winner. It's also that most unusual of items: an Apple product which represents good value for money.

So small and light it's barely there; Reasonably priced; Great performance; Loads of free software

Disappointing screen

Apple Macbook Air 2013 11in

The design and raw power make the Macbook Air a worthwhile purchase for Apple fans or those looking for a change from a Windows machine. The trackpad and Mac OS X make the Macbook Air a pleasure to use, and the good news for first-time Macbook Air buyers is that they'll be getting extra battery life...

Lightweight; sleek design; nippy performance; long battery life; good value

No Retina display; Not shipping with Mac OS Mavericks yet

Iconic mobile laptop

I have the 13 inch AirBook and bought this for my wife. She didn't like my 2009 Macbook Pro but after a couple of days adjustment now loves her 11 AirBook and hardly touches her 6 month old windows Lenovo Yoga 2. Plus point include,.

Apple are fab; Wish I'd have got the 13"..

Apple MacBook Air (mid 2014)

There's not much new about Apple's updated MacBook Air lineup. Fortunately, the Air was already a top-notch portable computer. The subtle increase in processor speeds, along with a respectable decrease in price, are obvious positive steps for consumers.

Long battery life; light and compact, Long battery life; light and compact

Sluggish write speeds; Flash storage speeds not as fast as we've come to expect

Best Computer Ever!

I can' believe I finally have a MACBOOK! I am over the moon about it. These computers have to be the best all round computers on the planet bar none. Highly sought after, even second hand they are fought over (believe me I know). I managed to get a "new demo model" at an incredible price.
